Demuerte Deluxe gold medal in the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2024
Our wine brand DEMUERTE continues to reap success wherever it makes itself known. On this occasion it has done so with its exquisite wine DEMUERTE DELUXE, a variety of the DEMUERTE saga that has managed to win the Gold Medal at the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2024.
The coveted Belgian distinction represents one of the highest awards that can be obtained in this competition. A competition that only a few wines have access to, as the organisation selects a limited number of wines to award this prestigious medal.
Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2024
The Brussels 2024 World Competition, in its session dedicated to red and white wines, was held at the beginning of June (specifically on the 7th, 8th and 9th) in the modern and industrial city of León (Guanajuato, Mexico). It was the first time that the competition was held in the Americas, setting an important precedent for the continent’s wine industry.
The competition is distinguished not only by the rigorous prior selection of its judges, but also by the fact that these people are internationally recognised for their ability to evaluate wine. As the event’s organisers point out: “The evaluations are carried out by specialised experts selected for their knowledge and ability to taste all types of wines according to their peculiarities”. These wine authorities include: international buyers and shippers, engineers and oenologists, journalists, wine writers and critics, researchers and representatives of industry organisations. All of them with different nationalities, which contributes to reinforce the uniqueness of the event, but also to reinforce the objectivity of the evaluation of each wine.
Excellent reception at the DEMUERTE winery
Pablo Cortés, manager of the winery where the wines of the DEMUERTE saga are made, expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for this outstanding achievement in a highly relevant and prestigious international competition such as the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. A distinction that he valued with the following words: “We are extremely proud and grateful for this well-deserved recognition, which reflects the care dedicated to each bottle of DEMUERTE”.
At this point it should be noted that DEMUERTE bottles are not only considered some of the most elegant in the world, but also contain wines of exceptional quality, so that DEMUERTE DELUXE, as its name suggests, is a true synonym of excellence and distinction. Which, on the other hand, has made this wine a perfect fit for the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, whose main objective, according to its website, is: “To distinguish the best wines, to offer a guide to quality to consumers around the world and to promote the wine heritage”. Aspects that, with the award to DEMUERTE DELUXE, are more than fulfilled.
DEMUERTE DELUXE
DEMUERTE DELUXE is a wine made with grapes from old vines of the Monastrell, Syrah and Petit Verdot varieties, in rigorous dry farming. A wine that rests in new French oak barrels for a total of 18 months. It has an attractive cherry red colour with garnet rim, ripe red fruit and vanilla on the nose. It is smooth on the palate, full-bodied, with ripe, silky tannins. So, if you don’t know it yet, you should take advantage of the summer to do so. There is no better way to celebrate life than with a wine like this.
