The latest news we have received in this regard is that our wine DEMUERTE GOLD has been awarded at the Mexico Global Wine, one of the most important events in the international wine calendar. This prestigious distinction represents the highest recognition that can be obtained in this contest, which chooses very few wines to distinguish with this important medal.

The Mexico Global Wine competition is a platform that recognises the quality of national and international wines through a competition system. This competition uses an innovative system and specialised judges with extensive experience in the world of wine to guarantee the evaluation processes followed in the competition. It is also an initiative that promotes wine culture and viticulture with the wine industry.
The Mexico Global Wine is an event of the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), organised by the Faculty of Oenology and Gastronomy (FEG) in which a software-based evaluation system is applied. A programme that allows to keep an online registration of the tastings carried out from different geographical points and whose main objective is to favour the sensory analysis processes of the participating samples.
Pablo Cortés, the winery’s manager, expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for this outstanding achievement in a highly relevant and prestigious competition in Mexico. In this sense, he highlighted: “We are extremely proud and grateful for this well-deserved recognition, which reflects the care dedicated to each bottle of DEMUERTE”.

DEMUERTE GOLD is an intense cherry red wine with garnet edges. Its aroma reminds us of ripe red fruits and liquorice; at the same time it is full of spices such as pepper, clove and nutmeg. A very suggestive combination that surprises and pleases all types of consumers.
This is a ripe, silky-textured, drinkable wine made from Monastrell, Syrah & Garnacha tintorera grapes. All grown in the vineyards of Yecla, where they grow peacefully overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
